Sure. The Google fonts team have a Github repository, where you can request to add new fonts. Make sure you try to follow their project checklist, and remember to include your source file in your repo (I forgot this), as of course, all the fonts are open source!

I submitted back in May 2017, and I’m still waiting, so this is as far as I’ve gotten in the process.
